5 Pillars of a Successful Online Business

Hi,everyone! I’m so excited to have a chance to talk to you about myappearance on John Lagoudakis’ podcast! John’s a top 100 Clickbank Affiliate and one of Australia’s most trusted marketer on the internet. He started his very first online business in 2007 and throughout the years he has built several Internet-based successful online businesses since then. He’s been featured on CNN Money, Forbes, Fortune, Inc., the Today Show, as well as Newsweek.

When you tune into the podcast, you’ll find that a lot of the information discussed can be pretty useful for anyone who is looking to increase the amount of traffic and leads your business gets online. During the podcast, we talk about the 5 Pillars of a Successful Online Business.

Five Pillars of A Successful Online Business:

These five pillars include:

  1. Having an awesome website
  2. Generating traffic
  3. Get their attention
  4. Email marketing
  5. Build a relationship

As I said to John, although the website is important (if it’s generating traffic and leads), but the real attention grabber is email marketing. I talk about how I had a client who didn’t want to use email marketing because she thought it was spammy and sounded too much like a used car salesman. However, when I showed her an example of how useful email marketing can be, she changed her tune.

Later on in the podcast, we talk about the fundamentals of building a terrific website. Naturally, the overall appearance of the website is important, but not everyone has the budget for a professionally designed WordPress site. Fortunately, there are services like Weebly or Wix that can help you create these attention-grabbing, professional websites. Even still, you could have an amazing website, but many people tend to overlook their copywriting. Let’s face it when you have a compelling copy on your site that is what will make people want to do business with you!

Other aspects of having a great website are that you have a video of yourself on there. In the video, you should be giving viewers your pitch as to what you can do for them and why your business is the best in the field. On top of that, your site has to be mobile friendly. You wouldn’t believe how reliant we are on our mobile devices and because of that, it’s no surprise that over half of my client’s traffic is through a mobile device.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of the things that I talk to John about. I fully recommend that you tune-in to the rest of the podcast where I talk about other topics like:
