Lindsey Anderson:a client of mine for a very long time, and just a really
Lindsey Anderson:inspirational, successful, gentleman.
Lindsey Anderson:I can't wait for you.
Lindsey Anderson:To meet him.
Lindsey Anderson:His name is Mr.
Lindsey Anderson:Cesar Kowski.
Lindsey Anderson:Cesar, welcome to the show.
Caesar:Hey Lindsay, how's it?
Caesar:Am I gonna be a millionaire after this or are you gonna make me a millionaire?
Lindsey Anderson:you know you've made a million dollars in coaching.
Lindsey Anderson:Don't
Caesar:even, yeah.
Caesar:Yeah.
Caesar:Okay.
Caesar:and with a lot of your help as well.
Caesar:But thank you for having me on.
Caesar:This is great.
Lindsey Anderson Podcast Host:tell us about what kind of coach you are and
Lindsey Anderson:what do you do?
Caesar:So I'm an author and that led to a lot of speaking and keying
Caesar:around the world and I prefer training than just speaking at conferences.
Caesar:And and then I started doing a podcast every Monday about six years ago now.
Caesar:Woo.
Caesar:That's amazing.
Caesar:And And along the way for probably 15 plus years, I've been a coach.
Caesar:And my coaching systems, my style of coaching the whole thing that
Caesar:and the way we coach is continuing to change and improve and morph
Caesar:and use new tools and learn from people like yourself and all that.
Caesar:So I, I love coaching and I love training and we specifically get to write and
Caesar:speak and train about, and I say we, because our coaching my wife and I.
Caesar:Do this together.
Caesar:A little unique.
Caesar:We coach couples as couples, but we get to do what we really are passionate
Caesar:about, which I hope everybody who's co compassionate about, which I hope
Caesar:everybody who's coaching is super passionate about what they're coaching to.
Caesar:But we coach to our Christian spirituality and sort of discipleship
Caesar:as a lifestyle instead of just go to a.
Caesar:Service once a week or once a month or whatever, and then forget about that.
Caesar:But we really have tried to understand what would it look like to really
Caesar:believe this and live it out in community and with others and
Caesar:live as a blessing and all that.
Caesar:So that's kinda all the stuff I do.
Caesar:And then all the things that go with it to make it available to people, to
Caesar:get it online, to, produce the podcast.
Caesar:I got lots of YouTube videos.
Caesar:I got, all the things, right?
Lindsey Anderson:tell us a little bit about your history.
Lindsey Anderson:Lindsey Anderson Podcast Host: How did you get into coaching?
Caesar:How I got into coaching was I was part of a network through our
Caesar:the churches that we were helping to start that were more decidedly like
Caesar:community and neighborhood based and not a big show on Sundays and all.
Caesar:And some folks in that network said, Hey boy, people really like hearing from you.
Caesar:Have you ever thought about coaching?
Caesar:And I said I've done a little kind of ad hoc coaching, and they said we'll pay to
Caesar:put you through coaching certification and teach you actually how to coach.
Caesar:And I was like, and done.
Caesar:And so I, I did that and then I was very fortunate where they said we want
Caesar:to go on and train you how to be a.
Caesar:Trainer of coaches and get you certified in that too.
Caesar:And so that's how the whole thing started.
Caesar:It was, and still remains largely relational in the sense of people who I
Caesar:know, people have heard me speak, people who hear us on the podcast, see a Facebook
Caesar:Live or on YouTube we build a relationship and answer their questions and try to.
Caesar:Help them if we can shins and try to, help them if we can in any way.
Caesar:And oftentimes it leads to coaching and we've, we coach
Caesar:in cohorts, we coach in group.
Caesar:And yeah, always looking for more, but not too many more.
Caesar:Cuz we really give a lot of our time to folks.
Caesar:We don't do the, here's your meeting, good luck.
Caesar:I hope you're working on your stuff.
Caesar:People have a lot of access to us and we just want to succeed.
Lindsey Anderson:Now, something I've always found really interesting about you
Lindsey Anderson:was that you're in the spirituality niche.
Lindsey Anderson:you're helping people become more connected to Christianity and their
Lindsey Anderson:faith and those kind of things.
Lindsey Anderson:And I know we've had a lot of conversations about this, which is it
Lindsey Anderson:can be very difficult because then you're associating money with it and there's
Lindsey Anderson:a lot of weird beliefs around that.
Lindsey Anderson:Yeah.
Lindsey Anderson:Can you expound on that how you've overcome that and
Lindsey Anderson:you can still sell coaching?
Caesar:Yes.
Caesar:I really never had a belief that you couldn't a attach money to coaching or
Caesar:any kind of services or whatever, or spirituality even in a sense, because, I
Caesar:grew up going to church and was taught to.
Caesar:Tied and give to the church and the work of the church and all that.
Caesar:Why?
Caesar:Because part of it at least was, pastors gotta eat and all the different people
Caesar:who are helping this community move forward and live this way and all.
Caesar:And so I never really had a problem with that.
Caesar:In fact, even the Bible talks about that.
Caesar:You shouldn't worry about that.
Caesar:Your workman's worthy of his hire.
Caesar:That's the line, yet.
Caesar:Yet.
Caesar:It does feel a little bit different than like a business to business where
Caesar:like I do a, I get a lot of coaching and I watch a lot of courses like you do.
Caesar:I know we swap out courses all the time and share all that stuff and I
Caesar:have no problem investing in growth and learning problem, investing in
Caesar:growth and learning and all that.
Caesar:But somehow there is often a disconnect cuz a lot of people
Caesar:just their spirituality seems free.
Caesar:They watch something online or they go to a church service, sit in the
Caesar:back and leave and they don't really help support that or whatever.
Caesar:And so then when all of a sudden there's oh, I have to invest in this.
Caesar:It's you don't have to, but I gotta eat too and feed my kids and all that, and
Caesar:so I think a lot of my thoughts earlier on in limitations were really my own.
Caesar:Cuz I would hear like one person go guru, how come you gotta pay for this, jesus
Caesar:didn't charge people or whatever, right?
Caesar:And then you know how you take the one negative thing out of
Caesar:a million positive comments and then that's what you focus on.
Caesar:I have that disease a little and, but over time, and you and I have
Caesar:talked a lot about it, you've really been helpful with my mindset on this
Caesar:to don't worry about the naysayers.
Caesar:I have another buddy who does a lot of online stuff and he goes,
Caesar:every time I send an email, I get.
Caesar:Email out to the list.
Caesar:I get a bunch of negative people and a bunch of weird, icky stuff,
Caesar:and mostly I just delete 'em.
Caesar:But every once in a while I take the time to kinda light 'em up, and that's
Caesar:kinda how, that's kinda how I take it.
Caesar:Same with online.
Caesar:I'm getting thousands of interactions.
Caesar:Social media, a month and.
Caesar:Yeah, a lot of it's not positive, but I really have learned to go,
Caesar:Hey, go ahead and unsubscribe or, unfollow or let me help you with that.
Caesar:Like cause there's so much positive in our coaching specifically
Caesar:we see such transformation.
Caesar:People are so excited and so grateful, and like this has changed not only this
Caesar:part of our life, but our marriage, our parenting, how we're interacting
Caesar:with our friends and neighbors and just the peace and ease of all this now.
Caesar:And so I, that's helped me drown that out, and that's helped me drown that out.
Caesar:And I don't know, my wife and I, Tina, Tina, we were just having a conversation
Caesar:yesterday, I wonder if a price increase is in the future for us with coaching,
Caesar:cuz we're doing some major improvements here in the next year and it's costly.
Caesar:Yeah.
Caesar:But I think within my little niche and we're our.
Caesar:Our perfect person we can help is, I might already be at the top tier,
Caesar:but there's only one way to find out.
Caesar:But for us, I, I'd love to say I'm so altruistic money
Caesar:has nothing to do with this.
Caesar:We gift so much coaching and we sponsor so many people and give
Caesar:them scholarships and all a lot.
Caesar:However, it is how we also make a living and being a serial entrepreneur.
Caesar:Who've run with Tina, and I've run lots and lots of businesses.
Caesar:We understand, you do have to charge and make, make the bills and all that.
Caesar:So we're kinda learning forward in that.
Caesar:And I just, I, I feel like if I need to charge more, I'll charge more.
Caesar:And then for some people who they say, wow, I really need
Caesar:this, but we really can't.
Caesar:There's no way in the world we could afford it either.
Caesar:I don't know.
Caesar:I just, can I ask God what you know, should we help them or do
Caesar:they, are they just trying to, get over, or sometimes I'll give 'em
Caesar:a little bit upfront why don't you jump in for a month and we'll see?
Caesar:And if they're really engaged, all right, we wanna help you.
Caesar:If they're blowing it off and they're not doing their work, and they're not really
Caesar:showing up and they're not participating, it's like, all right what did you think?
Lindsey Anderson:you mentioned you have this unique perspective
Lindsey Anderson:of, you're a serial entrepreneur.
Lindsey Anderson:you have branded so many businesses and here you are,
Lindsey Anderson:your online coaching business.
Lindsey Anderson:Tell me how that compares in terms of time, money, and freedom to all
Lindsey Anderson:the other businesses you've started.
Lindsey Anderson:what are the benefits?
Caesar:It well for us, because we try not to have our coaching sprinkled
Caesar:all over every day, all throughout, every week we've put our coaching on
Caesar:the second, fourth weeks of the month.
Caesar:Almost exclusively.
Caesar:And it used to be Monday and Wednesday, those two weeks of the month.
Caesar:Now we do Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, just cuz of increased demand.
Caesar:But that allows us an awful lot of, real estate to say Okay, all my
Caesar:other work I and do and recording things and editing and shooting
Caesar:videos are running challenges.
Caesar:I can do those in those off weeks or in between.
Caesar:Or like this weekend I'm getting ready to get on a plane in the morning and I,
Caesar:so I'm, I get my podcast done earlier and get out, social for next week, all that.
Caesar:Cause I don't wanna be worrying about it on the plane or Sunday
Caesar:night at 10 30 when I get back home from the airport and all that.
Caesar:So the flexibility of it compared to for certain retail, we haven't done tons of
Caesar:retail, but like one of the businesses we ran for years was an all day breakfast
Caesar:restaurant here in our hometown.
Caesar:And tell you what, seven days a week Yaks.
Caesar:You know what I mean?
Caesar:Yeah.
Caesar:And there almost not a date goes by that either someone
Caesar:doesn't show up an employee.
Caesar:The cook the espresso machine breaks down.
Caesar:The grill won't light up.
Caesar:The, the freezer, the cooler, whatever is down the, Hey, the cash
Caesar:register won't even turn on today.
Caesar:Something every day you couldn't even have vacation when Teen,
Caesar:Tina's phone would ring.
Caesar:Some days we'd just be like, oh my goodness.
Caesar:I just wanna be on the beach with a book and a beer.
Caesar:Leave us alone.
Caesar:Where this is way more manageable.
Caesar:I think in that sense.
Caesar:Way, way more manageable, I think in that sense.
Caesar:The only thing, Lindsay, this is kinda interesting.
Caesar:The only thing that was close to this much freedom, and maybe even more so is
Caesar:years ago we had a mail order business and we had a catalog we would put out.
Caesar:Two, three times a year and then I would go to the PO box every day
Caesar:and it would be jam full of cash and orders before we ever ship the product.
Caesar:That was, wow.
Caesar:There was a lot of freedom in that.
Caesar:And we do we have an online store for, publishing and resources and all that.
Caesar:And it's a little bit that way though.
Caesar:That's not our biggest.
Caesar:Source of revenue.
Caesar:Probably could be bigger if I gave more attention to that, but we tend to
Caesar:put our time into coaching, but yeah, there's a lot, there's a lot of freedom
Caesar:and flexibility in this, and I think.
Caesar:Because this really is like our passion in our life.
Caesar:We don't feel the need to have to guard every other minute of it, yeah.
Caesar:If a client says, Hey could I grab a call with you this
Caesar:week or hop on Zoom with you?
Caesar:It's if I can absolutely.
Caesar:If the grandkids are around or I'm on vacation with, my family or we're,
Caesar:I'm on a boat with some friends fish and I'll be like, I can't do
Caesar:it today, but I can do it next week.
Caesar:You know what I mean?
Caesar:I just, I feel that freedom because I, we live with such access.
Caesar:That flexibility not only provides us cover, but also the freedom to even, I
Caesar:think, serve better, without fear of that.
Lindsey Anderson:And you talk about, this is your calling, you wanna serve people.
Lindsey Anderson:as you're coaching these couples and you're making a huge difference for them
Lindsey Anderson:in their lives, can you just give us a story of the kind of difference you
Lindsey Anderson:can make in the lives of these couples?
Caesar:Yeah.
Caesar:And a lot of these couples are, couples who are like, maybe the
Caesar:one of 'em is like working at the church or one of 'em is the senior
Caesar:pastor I could think of Tim and Anna.
Caesar:We've been in coaching with us for years.
Caesar:Wonderful couple really, they've been following the podcast, read
Caesar:some of my books and they're like, that's what we're trying to do.
Caesar:We'd love a little bit of help to live this out way more
Caesar:seamlessly and less bifurcated.
Caesar:Like people come on Sunday and then we don't see 'em all week.
Caesar:And then our neighbors like, is all we have to offer is an
Caesar:invitation to a church service?
Caesar:Or it's how do we integrate all of life into our spirituality?
Caesar:And and we watch them at first.
Caesar:Everything is like in little boxes and that's how their people have
Caesar:been trained over the years of, their spirituality or maybe going to
Caesar:church only and maybe it's only twice a month when it fits my schedule.
Caesar:And if nothing else is in the way, but don't mess with me all week, and all that.
Caesar:And little by little what we see is, for one, cuz we're couples
Caesar:coaching, we hear this all the time.
Caesar:Hey, we're doing this together.
Caesar:And even though we've always been heading the same direction, we've never
Caesar:really been fully on the same page.
Caesar:And now as a couple, we really are like, as we, if we're growing in something or
Caesar:chewing on something or trying to decide rhythms of our life and community and all,
Caesar:we're making these decisions together.
Caesar:And for us, everything starts at the dinner table and then moves outward.
Caesar:So like right away, early in their coaching, we're having 'em start
Caesar:new family dinner nights and what are you doing during that and how
Caesar:are you having fun and how's it.
Caesar:Just full of grace and joy and all that.
Caesar:And that's how you, I want you to be with people in your life.
Caesar:That starts to happen and pretty soon when they go, but that's our kids.
Caesar:So love this.
Caesar:And we so love this.
Caesar:Our marriage and our kids.
Caesar:We've never been this way.
Caesar:And now when you know, you said why don't you start treating others like family?
Caesar:It's just they're just incorporating.
Caesar:And so I've said they, instead of this heavy load of we're just too busy.
Caesar:We're just too fried.
Caesar:We're just too, overwhelmed, all of a sudden they go we're doing
Caesar:what we love and everybody else gets to join us in it or not.
Caesar:But it turns out because we're having a blast and it's full of
Caesar:grace and joy, others are interested.
Caesar:And we go let hang out.
Caesar:Let's watch, are interested.
Caesar:And we go let hang out.
Caesar:Let's watch a movie, have some dinner.
Caesar:Let's go to the park with the kids, or whatever.
Caesar:And so we just, we're seeing, here's the line that we really use a lot with
Caesar:people we say, Our goal is, I know you're, maybe you're trying to grow
Caesar:your church, or maybe you're trying to create communities like this, whatever.
Caesar:That will be a, that will be an outgrowth of this, I promise.
Caesar:But ultimately, what we're trying to help you achieve is greater spiritual
Caesar:freedom and relational peace.
Caesar:It's not all icky and weird and you're like, oh, I don't know if I'm offended
Caesar:them, or I'm afraid to, I want you to have spiritual freedom with you and
Caesar:your creator and I want you to have relational peace in your family with
Caesar:your kids, each other, with neighbors.
Caesar:And when they start to experience that, they're like, wow.
Caesar:Wow, that's very different than sir.
Caesar:I was raised maybe, going to church and it was like a big list of dos
Caesar:and don'ts and I was always afraid of screwing up life, changing your
Caesar:freedom, and I had to hide everything.
Caesar:And so I was hiding from my spouse.
Caesar:I was hiding from my pastor.
Caesar:I was hiding from my parents.
Caesar:It's Nope.
Caesar:Uhuh.
Caesar:No, you don't.
Caesar:You don't need to.
Caesar:You don't get you, you don't have to.
Caesar:We get to live free.
Caesar:So I, there's just so many of those kinds of stories or people that, oh,
Caesar:they're so passionate and they're so nice, but they're so locked up.
Caesar:They have so much fear of what everybody else is worrying
Caesar:about, what they think, right?
Caesar:And we call that like the do to be distortion.
Caesar:That what you do equals who you are and your value, your identity.
Caesar:Oh, it's the biggest lie out there.
Caesar:We spend every day combating that with people and helping
Caesar:them learn how to articulate that to each other, to their kids.
Caesar:A neighbor who's melting down over something, maybe they're going through
Caesar:a divorce or whatever, and they're just, they feel horrible and worthless and
Caesar:deject like, no, what has happened to you?
Caesar:Or things you've done do not equal who you are or your value and all that.
Lindsey Anderson:Caesar's dropping gold right now.
Lindsey Anderson:That's how to live a freer, happier life right there.
Lindsey Anderson:before we go to our next topic, if I may put my consulting hat on,
Lindsey Anderson:and this is why Cesar, you need to definitely increase your rates.
Lindsey Anderson:Cause you had that question at the beginning of the podcast.
Lindsey Anderson:Look at all these lives, you're changing,
Caesar:listen Lindsay, I say it this way, often we, Tina and I have not
Caesar:missed any meals that I can recall.
Caesar:We don't live under a bridge.
Caesar:We're really, we're very blessed and taken care of and we might
Caesar:still raise our prices, just so that we can give away more, actually.
Lindsey Anderson:so now we know what you do.
Lindsey Anderson:Okay.
Lindsey Anderson:Do you mind just sharing with us briefly about the revenue
Lindsey Anderson:streams in your coaching business?
Caesar:Okay.
Caesar:And how you make money.
Caesar:Do you wanna start at the bottom and work to the bigger?
Caesar:Sure.
Lindsey Anderson:Yeah.
Lindsey Anderson:Whatever makes the most sense to you.
Lindsey Anderson:I know you have a lot of options out there, so whatever makes the most sense.
Caesar:And shiny object syndrome, we've tried a lot of things.
Caesar:Being a serial entrepreneur though, I don't fear that.
Caesar:I like it.
Caesar:Like I, it gives me energy to try some new stuff.
Caesar:Even if I just go, nah, I'm not doing that forever.
Caesar:But boy, I learned something here that plugs in here.
Caesar:Sure.
Caesar:That's what you and I talk about a lot on our master all the time.
Caesar:So let's start at the bottom.
Caesar:We have books.
Caesar:That are for sale.
Caesar:Some of them are free plus shipping offers, so that we can, and to be clear,
Lindsey Anderson:these are books you wrote, correct?
Caesar:Yep.
Caesar:Okay.
Caesar:These are books that I've written.
Caesar:And how books have you written?
Caesar:Five I think now.
Lindsey Anderson:And are they also available on Amazon, or are they only
Lindsey Anderson:available through your publishing website?
Caesar:They are available on Amazon as well.
Caesar:Yep.
Caesar:If you put in my name in Amazon, some things will come up.
Caesar:Yep.
Caesar:Okay.
Caesar:What's next?
Caesar:Yeah, and so we have books and some of 'em are free plus shipping offers.
Caesar:Some of them are, whatever.
Caesar:We have courses both like thousand dollars courses and $17 entry offer.
Caesar:Here's some basic course stuff to get you going and if you like this makes sense.
Caesar:If you're starting to find some freedom in that.
Caesar:Maybe there's more training maybe that would lead into some coaching like that.
Caesar:We have our coaching that's really as our sort of premier, what we hope to
Caesar:get into relationship with folks and do ultimately we have a membership
Caesar:site like a monthly that's in between.
Caesar:Hey, here's a mini course that's in between.
Caesar:Hey, here's a mini course and here's the full-blown coaching for a year.
Caesar:Cause our coaching is a 12 month minimum commitment.
Caesar:Most of our.
Caesar:Folks go multiple years for sure.
Caesar:But not everybody.
Caesar:And but we have a membership in between where you get the same teaching
Caesar:and training, but you don't have the coaching or nearly the access
Caesar:or whatever, I'll answer anybody's emails, but, so that's in between.
Caesar:And then I like to do, and that's what we're going to do this weekend in Alabama.
Caesar:I love to do live training and equipping and teaching that way, but I really, I
Caesar:make it quite interactive in all that.
Caesar:I prefer that to be in just the talking head on stage at a giant
Caesar:conference, and there's 17.
Caesar:30 people in a row and everybody gets their 20 minutes of fame and
Caesar:off to go and no one learns anything.
Caesar:I really love equipping people that I know are gonna go out and equip others.
Caesar:I love that cuz we're in this for impacting, for growth.
Caesar:So I think that's all the pieces, books, many courses, membership
Caesar:coaching, and then live.
Caesar:And then I've done some consulting as well.
Caesar:Obviously it's not a big, huge part of it.
Caesar:But it comes up, some of the people that we're coaching, they're
Caesar:like, Hey, could we fly in here?
Caesar:Have you sit down with all of our leaders and help us sort through X, Y, or Z?
Caesar:Sure, we can do that.
Caesar:Yeah.
Caesar:So there, there's a lot of streams there, right?
Caesar:Yeah.
Lindsey Anderson:you've done a lot of things.
Lindsey Anderson:This is one reason why you and I connected so well is because we're both addicted
Lindsey Anderson:to marketing a little bit there, Cesar.
Lindsey Anderson:So you've done a lot.
Lindsey Anderson:You have a membership in the courses and all of that.
Lindsey Anderson:would you give any advice to people who are trying to
Lindsey Anderson:scale their coaching business?
Caesar:Listen, I'm a big believer in what you teach with your pyramid.
Caesar:Yes.
Caesar:The upside down pyramid.
Caesar:And I am so grateful that when I look, first time I saw that I was
Caesar:like, that's exactly what we have.
Caesar:You know what I mean?
Caesar:That's exactly what were trying to offer.
Caesar:Many courses.
Caesar:We were already had our premier coaching, nailed, dialed in, very successful.
Caesar:Before we ever did a membership site where we could take like the components of
Caesar:that teaching that comes in coaching and put it into a membership we already had,
Lindsey Anderson:You're saying that you focused on one-on-one premiere
Lindsey Anderson:coaching first to understand your niche before you created courses
Caesar:all that and before we went to cohort coaching.
Caesar:Yep.
Caesar:One-to-one.
Caesar:Tweaking, tweaking tools, language, how often, how much to charge that.
Caesar:We moved to couples.
Caesar:When we moved to couples, we went to cohort.
Caesar:Oh, that was a big shift.
Caesar:We used to do weekly, now we do twice a month.
Caesar:For us that seems to fit better.
Caesar:Like people, we just found that they come on every single week.
Caesar:They're just like I haven't moved that, the balls that far yet, so I don't really
Caesar:have much to, but if you go every month, it's oh man, I blew it off this month.
Caesar:Now you got another month.
Caesar:Or if they miss, then it's, so for us, we found that sweet spot in that.
Caesar:But yeah, we, and I would say folks is.
Caesar:If you have that fire, whatever it is you're coaching about, and you've
Caesar:got some expertise and you feel like God's given you a little bit of insight
Caesar:that's proving to be helpful, help a lot of people like that one-to-one.
Caesar:Then try to do a cohort and then see what's really and then see what's really
Caesar:like the phases of those movements.
Caesar:And then is there little pieces of that you could.
Caesar:Write about or offer.
Caesar:I also know, just like you Lindsay, we're big on building relationships with people
Caesar:and so social media helps with that.
Caesar:But I have a pretty big social media presence and I really stay out there.
Caesar:And guess what?
Caesar:Other peers of mine kind of hack me for it.
Caesar:Or are you gonna be on Facebook all the time?
Caesar:How come you're posting all the time?
Caesar:How come you're on Instagram doing this or that?
Caesar:I'm like, D do you believe in what you're doing and writing about?
Caesar:Of course I do.
Caesar:So do I.
Caesar:And would you rather have a hundred people know about it, or a million I.
Caesar:Yeah, because I'd like a million people to know about what this freedom they can have
Caesar:and and help others with it, and their kids grow up this way, so guess what?
Caesar:I'm gonna try to just give away tons and tons of encouragement and resources
Caesar:and all that, cuz I know that we're gonna find our people, we're gonna
Caesar:find our tribe when we do that,
Lindsey Anderson:What do you say to those coaches who are like, I
Lindsey Anderson:don't wanna be on social media.
Lindsey Anderson:I hate social media.
Lindsey Anderson:Social media is the bane of everyone's existence.
Lindsey Anderson:What do you say to that?
Caesar:I'd say there's all kinds of ways to be on social media.
Caesar:I.
Caesar:If you're feeling like you gotta get out there and you gotta post a thousand times
Caesar:a week, that then I don't think you do.
Caesar:If you feel like you do have to be consistent, if you feel like you gotta get
Caesar:in there and answer every negative comment with a big huge diatribe and proof and
Caesar:win every argument, the who's got time for it and that's just gonna eat your soul.
Caesar:I'd say if you don't like social media, pick a platform, right?
Caesar:Don't try to do 'em all.
Caesar:I'm not in every platform.
Caesar:I'm not, I'm in several, but I focus, I know what my one or two really
Caesar:are and that I focus hard on 'em.
Caesar:And that's what I really write to,
Lindsey Anderson:Now, going on into:Lindsey Anderson:What are your focuses as far as marketing to bring people
Lindsey Anderson:into your coaching programs?
Caesar:Some of that is still yet to be seen.
Caesar:I know one big thing is that right at the end of last year, I created,
Caesar:and I've been testing an acquisition funnel to use the technical term on it.
Caesar:So it's some of our very best.
Caesar:Training that we have done over and over in challenges and things like that, that
Caesar:people, thousands and thousands of people have signed up and done the challenge
Caesar:went ahead and updated that, made it primo and give 'em a lot of bang for the buck
Caesar:and put that into a, of a mini course.
Caesar:And it's 97 bucks, but right now I'm selling for 17.
Caesar:I know those people are serious enough to put a few dollars on
Caesar:the table to say, we like you, we like what you're talking about.
Caesar:And I know that's the basic stuff.
Caesar:So if that doesn't scare them off, then they're more than likely gonna be.
Caesar:Wanting to stay on the journey, some percentage of them.
Caesar:So the acquisition funnel's big
Lindsey Anderson:your listeners, buyers, your listeners.
Caesar:Yep.
Caesar:We are revamping how we're doing our coaching and probably gonna go to more
Caesar:of an evergreen hybrid where a lot of the training is not being done on
Caesar:the calls, but it's like I'm giving them access to all that training.
Caesar:Cause we've spent years creating those videos and the software
Caesar:deliver and all that stuff.
Caesar:And and so we're revamping that and gonna be trying some new ways to
Caesar:fill that because now it's gonna have a little different start rates.
Caesar:We don't have to have everybody start and have one call time.
Caesar:If you can't make it, you can't make it.
Caesar:It's it's gonna be way more flexible and I think it's gonna
Caesar:help sweep a lot more people.
Caesar:I'm definitely gonna be doing the process that you have told
Caesar:me about and been perfecting.
Caesar:And I don't if you have a name for it even, but where I, it's IO
Lindsey Anderson:events, that's
Caesar:events.
Caesar:I be doing those Yep.
Caesar:Invitation only events.
Caesar:That's on the very, very short list of what's going on.
Caesar:Another thing that I'm thinking about trying, but this'll be down
Caesar:the road a little bit, is instead of a traditional challenge, is doing
Caesar:something we're gonna call coaching week.
Caesar:And basically we'll get 'em into a week of coaching and get 'em a real experience
Caesar:of what coaching's and maybe this is how we would start with you if you're in.
Caesar:In coaching and answer their questions and just be really present for a week
Caesar:and say would this be amazing to keep going with this with a whole bunch of
Caesar:people who are just as excited as you are and have access to us and keep
Caesar:going A modified challenge of sorts, but really what we do in coaching.
Caesar:But give it away as coaching week and do a lot of extra little lives and q
Caesar:and as to answer questions at night and really try to give people a lot
Caesar:of progress in a short period of time.
Caesar:And then
Lindsey Anderson:social media, as you
Caesar:mentioned.
Caesar:Yeah, social media, and I'm doing more social media than ever.
Caesar:About a year and a half ago, you helped me revamp how I posted and
Caesar:when, and it's changed everything.
Caesar:I post less and I get triple the engagement.
Caesar:Ooh,
Lindsey Anderson:that.
Lindsey Anderson:That sounds pretty sweet.
Lindsey Anderson:That is crazy, but you didn't mention your bread and butter of marketing,
Lindsey Anderson:which, and maybe I'm putting words in your mouth, Cesar, but your podcast, right?
Lindsey Anderson:Oh, that brings in the best lines
Caesar:every day.
Caesar:I take it so for granted, because it's just part of our rhythm of life now.
Caesar:I was in the hospital a couple years ago and I could not miss Monday.
Caesar:And so I literally, under the sheet on my iPhone, I was recording
Caesar:parts of the podcast and editing it like in a foggy drug induced.
Caesar:Yeah, whatever.
Caesar:The podcast is probably our biggest no and trust factor where
Caesar:I just get to talk and it's very casual it's very equipping based.
Caesar:It's not opinion so much.
Caesar:Obviously my opinion sneaks into everything, but it's really equipping
Caesar:and how to and help people with all that.
Caesar:We do it every Monday, coming up next month, six years, and I think if I had a
Caesar:way to really get every little dot crossed that there's no way to but analytically.
Caesar:I would say probably 80% of the folks that we get to coach come from that,
Caesar:I would say, as we've been testing our acquisition funnel and, selling that
Caesar:and playing with the copy and, and conversion of, order bumps and all.
Caesar:I would say that almost all of that's come from the podcast, podcasting.
Lindsey Anderson:the name of his podcast is called The Everyday Disciple Podcast.
Lindsey Anderson:Check it out.
Lindsey Anderson:You said it.
Lindsey Anderson:Were like the number one.
Lindsey Anderson:What was the stat you told me the other day?
Lindsey Anderson:It was impressive.
Lindsey Anderson:It's like the number one,
Caesar:the number, there's something out there called listen notes.
Caesar:Listen notes, tracks all like millions of podcasts around the world and their
Caesar:download streams and all that, right?
Caesar:So they rank 'em then Hey, what's your rank?
Caesar:So I'm in the top 1% of podcasts worldwide.
Caesar:Mind blowing.
Caesar:Nice, right?
Caesar:Mind blowing on Spotify, which, only been podcasting a couple years
Caesar:now and it's kind of Joe Rogan focused, but we're in every platform.
Caesar:This last year.
Caesar:Our podcast was in the top 5% of shared podcasts globally on Spotify, which
Caesar:I say high five to our listeners.
Caesar:Cause I'm always asking 'em, please share the podcast.
Caesar:So awesome Caesar.
Lindsey Anderson:So
Caesar:they must so awesome.
Caesar:But it's not I don't want people to hear this guy must be getting
Caesar:a million downloads a week.
Caesar:It's not it, but it's, it.
Caesar:It's so those who care, I mean it's
Lindsey Anderson:Yeah.
Lindsey Anderson:Niche, highly specific with calls to action to get to know Caesar, basically.
Lindsey Anderson:Yep.
Lindsey Anderson:He's doing it for quality, not quantity on this one, but he still has the quantity.
Lindsey Anderson:Listen to these stats.
Caesar:And I would say they're again tied to that, like I missed it
Caesar:a big because that, because of that number, like maybe 80% of our coaching
Caesar:clients started listening first.
Caesar:Guess where I'm putting effort and time to what?
Caesar:What's streamed to Grow?
Caesar:Podcast.
Caesar:Podcast.
Caesar:I have a call next week about setting up a whole podcast tour as it's called.
Caesar:Be on a whole podcast with people and yeah, I'm, that's definitely gonna be the
Caesar:thing that I will pour time and money into is cuz I look at if it's really true, if
Caesar:80% of my coaching clients, and that's our high ticket offer, if that if they
Caesar:come in through podcasting and I could double my podcasting, wouldn't it bear
Caesar:out that we might double the amount of people we could surf through coaching?
Caesar:Probably pretty close.
Caesar:I'm so stoked that you're doing this podcast.
Caesar:You're back.
Caesar:We need you.
Lindsey Anderson:I know.
Lindsey Anderson:Thank you.
Lindsey Anderson:Thank you.
Lindsey Anderson:Cesar, thank you so much for being guest on the show.
Lindsey Anderson:Before you go, I'm gonna turn the time back over to you.
Lindsey Anderson:Any parting advice for people scaling their coaching businesses
Lindsey Anderson:and tell us how to find
Caesar:you.
Caesar:Okay, I'll do that in reverse order.
Caesar:If you go to everyday disciple.com pretty easy, just like it sounds
Caesar:everyday disciple.com, you'll find me, you'll find about me, you'll find
Caesar:a podcast links, you'll find a ton of stuff you could download for free.
Caesar:You'll find, little courses, any of that if you're interested at all.
Caesar:You can also find how to get ahold of me that way.
Caesar:You can find me on Instagram real easy at Caesar cal.
Caesar:It's right on the screen here.
Caesar:but I would say, A big one.
Caesar:and this is gonna sound like you asked me to say this, but I'm not.
Caesar:But if you don't have a coach in your life who is further than you down
Caesar:the road, Who's already bush whacked, all that stuff, and wood sheed, all
Caesar:this knows what they're doing, and they're super passionate about it.
Caesar:So it's not a burden to help you.
Caesar:You need to get a coach.
Caesar:Don't let pennies get in the way of dollars.
Caesar:It's crazy how few people, and we all experience this probably every day,
Caesar:we're like I'd love to, but I can't.
Caesar:I, you're choosing not to always tell people you're choosing not to.
Caesar:Do you have car payment?
Caesar:Do you have the red zone package on cable?
Caesar:you're saying that's really the most important thing in your life, but
Caesar:you spend a whole lot more time and effort and money on other things.
Caesar:if you're not in a, some sort of a coaching relationship,
Caesar:mentorship mastermind or whatever, you're really missing a lot.
Caesar:I have been a coach forever and I have been in coaching forever and.
Caesar:And I'm in it now with multiple two coaches.
